ABDUL FATAH MAIGAH MAHAMA

Abdul Fatah Maigah Mahama works at the intersection of sustainable development and human capacity building, focusing on initiatives that drive environmental and economic growth whilst empowering individuals and communities.
He is a seasoned Development Practitioner with over a decade of experience in social policy project design, rural community engagement, cash transfer programmes, agricultural value chain development, and development communication. His career is distinguished by an excellent community service record and a strong work ethic.
His professional journey includes key roles such as Business Development and Partnership Manager under Solidaridad West Africa - WAFAG, where he coordinated the implementation of a Farm Service Centre model within the Cocoa and Oil Palm value chains as part of the €14.1 million Cocoa Rehabilitation and Intensification Programme (CORIP). This project successfully transformed over 200 agro-SMEs across the West African region, including Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, into effective farm service providers by providing comprehensive training in farm service delivery, logistics, and financial support. He also managed the construction of 21 Farm Service Centres in Ghana, overseeing community engagement, contractor management, and technical support.
He currently serves as the Acting Deputy Director-General of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Service (TVETS), providing strategic inputs for policy formulation and overseeing the efficient management of human, material, and financial resources.
Under the same role, he was responsible for developing strategic business initiatives within Solidaridad’s cotton commodity value chain and managing stakeholder relations in Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, and Ghana.
Previously, as Operations Officer for LEAP Programme under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection he coordinated the Targeting Phase 2 and data collection efforts, managing a team of over 300 personnel and leading to the enrollment of 132,000 new beneficiaries into the cash grant programme between 2015 and 2016. Additionally, FatahMahama provides communication consultancy services to numerous local and multi national organisations, notably the Sustainable Fisheries Management Project (SFMP) under USAID, to develop Behavioural Change Communication materials on COVID-19 for fisherfolk.
From 2023 to March 2025, he served as Communication Manager for Solidaridad Ghana, driving programme visibility amongst stakeholders and executing Solidaridad West Africa’s strategic communications plan in Ghana.
