EMELIA AFFI AGBENYO

Affi Agbenyo is a development professional with extensive experience in Inclusive TVET, Skills andEnterprise Development, International Development Cooperation, and Gender Transformation.

She has proven expertise in policy design, resource mobilisation, and leading multi-stakeholder partnerships to drive inclusive economic empowerment initiatives. led skills development projects that provided employable skills to females in traditionally male-dominated trade areas, coauthored Ghana’s first Disability and Gender Inclusive TVET manual, and conducted gender analyses for diverse development agencies.

She loves facilitating meaningful conversations and training to drive change and shape perceptions. She possesses great communication and advocacy skills and ardently engages in current affairs, governance, and national development dialogues. Her career journey has led her through the UNDP Small Grant Project and the then Council for Technical and Vocational Education, KOICA, GIZ, Ghana among other reputable organisations.

She currently works at the Ghana TVET Service as the Acting Deputy Director General in charge of operations. She is a Commissioner of the National Development and Planning Commission of Ghana and member of the National School Inspectorate Authority of Ghana. She loves to tell tale of the lived experiences of women and pray for a just world. Solitude is one of her favorite pastimes.
