David Prah
Director-General
David Prah is a consummate Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Specialist, a Competence-Based Training (CBT) Expert, and a seasoned academic, with a career spanning over two decades. Currently, he previously held the position of Deputy Director-General in charge of Operations at the Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training Service (TVET Service).
Previously, in his role as the Senior Government and Public Relations Officer at the Volta River Authority (VRA), he led liaisons with the Government, Ministries, and the Public on the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam Project.

Mr. David Prah has been at the forefront of delivering on strategic corporate goals and managing corporate communication efforts for major State institutions, including the Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Employment Agency (YEA), and the National Information Technology Agency (NITA). Since 2017, he has held the position of Corporate Affairs Director, consistently elevating the profile and communication strategies of these institutions.

TVET EXPERIENCE
David's journey in Technical and Vocational Training began in 2014 at the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET), where he assumed the role of a Quality Assurance Officer. His responsibilities included monitoring and ensuring compliance with COTVET’s quality criteria for TVET providers and Qualifications Awarding Bodies. David also conducted due diligence in accrediting TVET providers, showcasing expertise in coordinating Quality Assurance Materials Development and Training in TVET CBT Programme Design and Development.
As a Competency-Based Trainer, David has lectured on CBT Facilitation Methods and Occupational Standard Generation at the University of Education, Kumasi – COLTEK since 2015. His influence extends beyond borders, as evidenced by his participation in international workshops, such as “Improving Work Opportunities for Young People in the Commonwealth,”organized by the British Council in London in 2019 and 2020, and CBT curriculum development for the Oil and Gas Capacity Building for the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, Accra.
In addition to his professional commitments, David has contributed to community development as a Workshop Facilitator for BASIC School Teachers on the Preparation of Teaching Materials and as a Community HIV/AIDS Educator and Adult Literacy Instructor in the Akuapem North District in the Eastern Region.

ACADEMIC CAREER
From 2003-2014, David served as a lecturer at the Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong, and subsequently rose to the position of Head of Department. His influence extended to the academic strategy of the Education Studies Department, aligning it with Faculty and College strategic plans.
A part-time lecturer at both the University of Cape-Coast (UCC-PCE Campus) and the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) from 2004 to 2006, David contributed to the Diploma in Basic Education for their distance education program. His instructional material development role at the University of Cape-Coast in 2005 further showcases his commitment to educational advancement.
Throughout his academic tenure, David co-authored and published numerous course books and dissertations, solidifying his contribution to the field. His leadership roles include serving as Member/Secretary of the Training Quality Assurance Committee of COTVET Board (Jan. 2015 – June 2017) and Member/Secretary of the Technical Sub-Committee on the conversion of the Polytechnic into Technical University NCTE/COTVET, August 2015.
