FUNCTIONS OF THE DIVISION

To achieve the provisions as enshrined in the Pre-Tertiary Act, 2020 (ACT 1049) Section 58 (P), the HRMD Division is mandated to perform the following functions;

  • Develop, coordinate and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain an effective Human Resource Management Information System
  • Initiate the recruitment process of selecting qualified personnel for the Service
  • Determine and advise management on training needs of staff to ensure the achievement of organizational strategic objective.
  • Coordinate the training and capacity building programmes and activities of the Service.
  • Coordinate the efficient implementation of Performance Management System of the Service.
  • Provide advisory service on all aspect of the Labour laws, regulation and practices, to ensure that all legal requirements and best practices are maintained.
  • Leverage HR transformation and change management process within the Service
  • Build and maintain appropriate relations with relevant government Ministries, Departments and Agencies and other Stakeholders on HR issues
